About us

Dammsee Mills is a mill, based at Dammsee in The Osmoor. The company was founded on 5 June 1822 by Brigitta Reinholt.

Dammsee Mills, purveyors of flour of the first and second grinding, and bran, have carried on business at Dammsee since the founding of the house. We supply the household, the trade and the regiments on the same terms, and our word has been our bond since the first ledger was opened.

Our founder. Brigitta Reinholt, clerk, was born at Kessel on 11 December 1788 and died on 30 November 1852.

What we did

Dammsee Mills traded as a mill at Dammsee. We offer flour of the first and second grinding, and bran, of the first quality, on the usual terms. Orders by the carrier are attended to the same day.

The registered office is at 73 Chapel Row, Dammsee. The history below is drawn from the company's own records and the register of companies.

1. 1822 Dammsee Mills is founded at Dammsee by Brigitta Reinholt. In the press.
2. 1831 Dammsee Mills lists on the Vellmar Exchange as DAS. In the press.
3. 1833 Dammsee Mills is wound up. 271 jobs are lost at Dammsee. In the press.
4. 1833 The company ceases trading.
